Thadeus George “Teddy” Karlinski

Teddy died in 2016 at the age of 28 after suffering a fatal seizure. Teddy developed adult seizure disorder when he was 21, stemming from spinal meningitis contracted as an infant. In infancy, he was hospitalized for 2-weeks where he suffered multiple febrile seizures. With incredible resilience, Teddy recovered from the meningitis and grew up to be a healthy, rambunctious little boy and an accomplished athlete. He excelled at golf and snowboarding. Throughout his childhood and teen years, Teddy actively participated in both Aspen Junior Golf and Aspen Valley Snowboard Club, two programs that positively shaped his life, athletic abilities and character.
